I like your angle, but do you think we could go deeper if we want to capture the Christian, or general religious perspective?
The problem with porn specifically has extra dimensions because sex isn’t one relational act among many. This particular relational act not only reaches the deepest levels of intimacy, it contains the seed of the creation.
Our attitude to it shouldn’t just encompass the momentary pleasure of the act, or the perpetuation of the species. It should include the conditions we create for their extended time it takes to “build” a mature human.
The raising of a child is a serious commitment because it carries with it responsibility for that persons eternal welfare.
And that wider view of sex and all it encompasses, gives us a mirror to God’s act of creation and not just our salvation, and our children's salvation, but everyone's salvation.
